A timely reminder to keep your credit cards and pin numbers separate, after a woman had $10,000 lifted from her account.
The 63-year-old women from Cardiff was volunteering at a Lake Macquarie netball facility when her wallet was stolen last Wednesday.
Police say the alleged thief, a 25-year-old woman from Windale, found the credit card and the pin code written down on a piece of paper inside the wallet.
The women then went on a two-day shopping spree across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie spending up big.
Police eventually tracked purchases and arrested the women at her Windale home on Monday.
She’s fronting Toronto court today charged charged with fraud (x30), receiving stolen goods, possessing a prohibited drug and breach of bail.
