Scientists from the Hunter Research Medical Institute have welcomed a $6.3 million funding boost in their quest to cure the common cold.
They will use the funds to trial a molecule they hope can block the virus that is responsible for three-quarters of all colds.
Its a big coup for researchers- usually funding is directed towards Influenza studies as it comes in a pandemic.
Asthma sufferers will be the first treated by the remedy, followed by children.
