Cathedral Bell Tower Reopens to Magnificent Views of Newcastle

The bell tower at Christchurch Cathedral in Newcastle has been reopened following a million dollars worth of renovations.

NSW Governor David Hurley officially reopened the site yesterday, during a ceremony celebrating the church’s bicentenary.

The tower was closed to the public for safety concerned caused by concrete cancer and salt dump.

The renovations were funded by donations.
