A man’s been hospitalised following a car crash at Salamander Bay overnight.
The car with four men on board was travelling along Salamander Bay Road at around 9:30pm.
It’s believed the driver lost control of the vehicle which then flipped.
One man was ejected from the car which rolled on him causing suspected pelvic and internal injuries.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to the scene but the man was deemed too agitated to be flown to hospital.
He was instead taken to the John Hunter Hospital by road ambulance.
The man is said to be in a stable condition and it’s unclear why he acted in an agitated manner.
The other three men on board were reportedly uninjured.
At this stage, it is not believed alcohol was a factor in the crash.
