A man has been charged after allegedly leading police on a foot pursuit through Argenton last night.
The 28-year-old was driving along Lake Road around 10pm when police attempted to speak with him but he reportedly fled the scene on foot.
Officers caught up with him a short time later on William Street, arresting him.
The man has now been charged with five offences including driving while disqualified, giving false details to police, malicious damage, trespass and breaching bail.
He’s been refused bail and will front Newcastle Local Court today.
