Bushfire at Taylors Beach

The bushfire at Taylors Beach has been downgraded to Advice warning level this morning.

Fire crews are controlling a bush fire with back burning operations.

The warning increased to Watch and Act overnight after the fire began moving in a Northeasterly direction.

The fire has scorched 218 hectares since it broke out yesterday morning.

The RFS says there’s now no immediate threat to properties however residents and motorists should monitor the conditions.

Drivers should also be aware of smoke affecting the commute along Nelson Bay Road near Gan Gan Road.
