Grossmann & Brough Houses Maitland feature the historic town of Branxton in their final Heritage Walk for this year on Saturday 11th November from 2-5pm. Founded in 1848, Branxton retains vestiges of its important early history of viticulture, agriculture and mining. During the walk, our entertaining guide Huck Campbell will discuss the former Branxton Inn, significant church properties, one with a unique Horbury Hunt bell tower, a Frederick Menkens designed former convent, a James Barnet designed courthouse and much, much more.
Following the walk, we will be refreshed with a delicious afternoon tea at a local home.
All proceeds go to the ongoing maintenance of the 1870s Grossmann and Brough Houses.

Anyone can participate by involving their school, business, sporting club or with a group of friends. Some suggestions are crazy hair, ties, shirts, socks or if you have another great idea, that is great.
Gastrointestinal cancers are bowel, stomach, pancreatic, oesophageal, small and large intestines and the research is conducted by the Surgeons at the John Hunter Hospital.
One Australian dies every 45 minutes from one of these cancers.

A RALLY to halt the proposed Offshore Hunter wind generator project will be held on Saturday 18 November from 10am. The rally will start and proceed from Hawks Nest Community Hall to Bennett’s Beach where participants will form a 260m line which represents the height of just one wind generator (they will be higher than Yacaaba and 20km out to sea). The rally will call on government to halt the current Hunter Offshore Wind Generator project; rescind the Area Declaration; and revisit authentic community consultation.
To assist organisers, please indicate if you will be attending. Parking is at Providence Bay Park & Myall Park. This is an approved peaceful community rally & please BYO sign, water, walking shoes, & hat. Event Safety Marshalls will be in Yellow Fluro Vests and white t-shirts.

What is it?
We are celebrating 80 years of operation of Hamilton North Public School and to commemorate this milestone students and staff have arranged for a Hamilton North Public School exhibition ‘Across The Decades’.
What is there to offer?
You will enjoy a visual display of artworks, memorabilia and interviews, showcasing milestones of significance and moments to celebrate across the decades of our wonderful school.
When and where is it?
This will be held in the school hall for our students and community to enjoy. The first session will open between 2:00-3:00pm. on the 30th of November, followed by another session from 5:30-8:00pm during our school carols event, held on the same evening.
2023 Christmas Carols Event
What is it?
Every year Hamilton North Public School, students, staff and community come together to celebrate a successful year and enjoy an end of year concert.
When is it?
This event will be held on school grounds from 5:30-8:00pm on the same day as the 80 Years Celebration. We could not think of a better way to finish the school year than a combined mega celebration of HNPS and its successes.
What is there to offer?
We have been so lucky to partner up with Newy Burger Co. who will be providing catering via a food truck. All AV Tech Services the musical production company will again be providing staging and audio. If you wish to pre-order your burger please see the office for an order form.There will be Fairy Floss, lolly pops, popcorn, snow cones and Santa photo’s available on the night as well as a surprise performance from every class. It is not an event to be missed!
What will I need?
We recommend you bring coins or cash for the extra food and Santa photos that are available, picnic blankets and chairs are encouraged. Feel free to pack a plate of nibblies to share. This is an alcohol free event, parent supervision is required for students to attend. As much as we love your furry friends, we ask that you leave them at home.
We look forward to seeing you there for the festivities!
