A man has been lucky to escape serious injury after being hit by a truck at Heatherbrae overnight.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the Pacific Highway just after midnight.
Thankfully the 40-year-old man only suffered lacerations and a minor leg injury.
He was taken to the John Hunter Hospital as a precaution and remains in a stable condition.
