The Hunter has been identified as a potential hydrogen hub, as part of a $150 million investment from the federal government.
Energy Minister Angus Taylor told Richard King the government is watching research into small modular reactors closely, but would need bipartisan support from Labor to even consider lifting the nuclear ban.
