Why AGL, Australia’s largest carbon emitter, is expediting its transition away from coal

Ted O’Brien, the shadow minister for energy and climate change, expressed disappointment over AGL’s decision to shut down all coal-fired power facilities, including the Liddell and Bayswater plants in New South Wales and the Loy Yang plant that supplies about a third of Victoria’s electricity.
