Cash grant to help with chronic wound research

Local researchers have been given an almost $2 million dollar grant to develop new ways to address wound control.

The management of chronic wounds is something that costs the Australian healthcare industry a whopping $3.5 billion dollars every year.

Researchers from the University of Newcastle along with hunter-based therapeutic goods manufacturer Restech and Western Sydney University, will use the cash to develop better treatments for wounds.
